A Powerful Maternity Portrait

I had the privilege to capture an image recently during a maternity session with some long time clients. I can’t take much credit for the concept seeing as it was her idea, but beyond that we happened to have parked right by the black lives matter protest that was taking place in front of city hall. We just happened to be in the right place at the right time with our intentions to make something impactful and powerful. I won’t continue to speak much to what was achieved in the image as i want to let it speak for itself. I’ve been humbled by the amount of traction the image has gained in just the week since I shared it on social media. I intentionally didn’t put my logo on it, because its about something far bigger than myself.

Brooklyn Arts Center Autumn Wedding // Whitney & Trent

Whitney and I met at the UNCW music program in college, and have since had the privilege of photographing the opening of her and Trents music venue called Live at Ted’s. So i’m sure it will come as no surprise that Whitney and Trent's entire relationship revolves around the love of music, this came through in the entirety of their wedding at Brooklyn Arts Center.
