How did you meet?
Oh boy... at Orton's Pool Hall in downtown Wilmington. His pick up line was that the balls didn’t match so I needed to hit a specific one in. Turns out he was the one! Fun fact, we actually have a canvas print of the outside of the bar hanging in our house.
What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
My favorite moment on my wedding day was right after our ceremony. Our wedding planner took us aside and allowed us to be by ourselves for a moment. It was nice to pause, take in our ceremony, the fact that we had just gotten married (!), and just enjoy each other’s company for a moment.
What made you want to hire Michael Escobar for your wedding day?
I actually found Michael on Facebook. His photos were gorgeous and when I reached out to him, he quickly called me and I really liked his attitude and style- he makes you feel like you’re his best friend moments after meeting. After we did a super fun engagement shoot downtown, we knew we wanted him for our wedding! His creativity makes everything shine You see so many of the same types of engagement and wedding photos but he worked hard to make ours anything but cookie cutter. Our friends still talk about what a blast they had with him.
How would you describe your wedding day?
My wedding day was nothing short of perfect. Because of COVID we were missing some of our family members, but except for wishing more of our loved ones could have joined us, I would not have changed a thing. Michael captured the day perfectly, especially the personalities of myself, my husband, and our friends and family. I’m a graphic designer and work in marketing and value good photography, so having an excellent photographer on my wedding day was something I was adamant about. Michael delivered above and beyond more than I had ever expected! I absolutely plan to hire him for more of our family celebrations in the future!!
