We do more family shoots than any other type of session (About 100-200 a year). We have experience photographing families anywhere from 3 to 33 members!!
There are 3 things we intend to accomplish at every family session
Documenting the often monumental event of having everyone in one place at the same time together in one photo with posed images for grandma to hang on her wall.
Capturing Candids that show who you are at this moment in time. Whether its the sleepy newborn, the kids jumping out of the lifeguard stand, or grandpa dipping grandma for an epic kiss, I like to capture everything as it happens.
And making sure that No One is Missed. When it comes to mom's and dad's it is almost always the case that the last time you had photos together was at your wedding. Whether that's the case or not I always prioritize capturing mom and dad in their own portraits together. The same goes for grandma and grandpa ;)
